An 11th hour Teaser Tuesday:
Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Here's how it works:
-grab your current read
-open to a random page
-share two teaser sentences from somewhere on the page (avoid spoilers!)
-be sure to include the title and author so other TT participants can add the book to their tbr list if they like your teaser
-leave a comment with your link at Should Be Reading
"He felt a sudden, strange expansion of his inner space, a rambling unrest, a youthful thirst for faraway places, a feeling so intense, so new - or rather so long unused, and forgotten - that he stood rooted to the spot, his hands behind his back and his gaze to the ground, pondering the essence and direction of his emotion. It was wanderlust and nothing more, but it was an overwhelming wanderlust that rose to a passion and even to a delusion." (page 5)

My Italian adventure continues...
Love that description of wanderlust. Great description! And intriguing teaser, besides. Good choice!ReplyDelete
I really liked the description. I want to know more!ReplyDelete
I've missed your posts over the past couple of days and thought you were on Facebook, I forgot that you've been popping in and out of Italy. Lovely teaser!ReplyDelete
Great teaser! The latest book I read took me to Italy.ReplyDelete
celi.a - I just loved that description of wonderlust! Have never seen it put quite that way.ReplyDelete
Gautami - I'm finding that Mann has quite a way with words.
Darlene - In addition to 'Italy', we also spent a long weekend in Boston. My Sunday Salon post was scheduled...the first time I've tried that! We're home for a couple of weeks now.
Nise' - I'll be right over to see which book took you to Italy!
I read Death in Venice years ago and really loved it. Hope you're enjoying it, too. Great teasers!ReplyDelete
Everytime you talk about a book that takes place in Italy I have to add it to my TBR list. I'm not sure whether I should thank you or ask you to stop it!ReplyDelete
jlshall - So far, I really like it...plus it fits in with this Italian theme I've had going lately.ReplyDelete
Stacybuckeye - LOL!! Don't know whether I should say I'm sorry or you're welcome! In any case, I think I'll be leaving Italy after this book. Wonder where I should go next...
