Out walking the dog...

Zelda is here and as sweet as can be! She's a quiet, well-mannered girl that seems to like nothing better than a nice long walk followed by a tummy rub. The holiday weekend ahead will provide the perfect opportunity for some "family bonding". See you next week...

  2. She is beautiful, and such a "big girl". I expected smaller for a female dog. JoAnn you must keep us updated with her progress.

I think it is so wonderful that you have brought her into your lives. HUGS to you Both!

  11. What a happy face Zelda has. In Australia, greyhounds are supposed to wear a muzzle in public, which is kind of mean, as those considered suitable as pets are lovely-natured dogs. Big though! :)

  16. Thank you all for your comments! Zelda is proving to be a wonderful addition to the family, and an ideal "walking buddy" for me. She isn't all that fond of her crate, but I'm not quite ready to give her free run of the house when we are out, or at night. She is very quiet, well-mannered, and gentle... which I've learned are standard greyhound traits. I'll post about her progress in another week or so.

  25. Karenlibrarian - Zelda is an absolute sweetheart. 'Superior Zelda' was her racing name name and we decided to keep it... kind of makes me want to reread Tender is the Night!
