  1. Beautiful! We're beginning to see spring advance in my desert landscape too. :)

  2. Your pictures tell the whole story. So strange for mid-March.

  3. The magnolia trees are blooming. It's too early!

  4. Wow... really appreciate your time-lapse photography. We're enjoying an early spring too here in Alberta, Canada. But our lake is still quite frozen... but not for long though. Your lake is absolutely beautiful!

  5. Sigh. I miss snow. But I'm look at the tree outside of my window, which is suddenly covered with yellow froth. Beautiful!

  7. Thanks, everyone. This is the earliest thaw I can remember - we usually have ice on the lake well into April. I wish I had my camera handy when the first pair of kayakers went by an hour later!

  8. Wow! How fast did it warm up? We finally have some sun today after what feels like weeks of grey skies and rain.

  9. That is impressive! I bet you are glad to see it go.. We have a chance of snow (of all things!) this Sunday morning. It won't accumulate, but the still, the point will remain that it is still that cold!

  10. Looks like spring has finally sprung in your neck of the woods.
    Loved the photo sequence.

  11. That quickly?! Amazing! Part of me is excited that spring is here early but the other part of me is scared what it'll mean for this summer. Will there be a nation-wide heat wave?! Yikes...

  12. Love it! Can you believe how warm it has been lately??? I worked outside all day today and couldn't believe that it's the middle of March!!!!!!!!!

  13. This warm weather is practically unheard of! It was in the 70's for the St.Patrick's Day parade on Saturday (which has, at times, taken place in blizzard conditions) and almost hit 80 yesterday. Can't believe we haven't reached the first day of spring.
