ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to summarize your month!
ReplyDeleteClever idea - beautiful photo!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, JoAnn :)
I love this! And a Happy October to you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post - sounds like you've had a busy month filled with lots of exciting decisions and changes to come - perfect for September, which always feels more like a 'new year' to me than January does. Love your new header picture - those fall leaves need to come further down New York State!
ReplyDeleteI think October is my favorite month, and I LOVE your new blog header and the fabulous photo at the end of the post.
ReplyDeleteYour little alphabet review of September conjured up all kinds of images, starting with the first one...apples! Apples and October (or September) go hand in hand.
Have a great week!
Here's my salon:

I loved reading this!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Sunday Salon post!
What fun! Except for the small creep of anxieties into the mix of course. I see Early Decision and an unwelcome shortage of time. But I also see a lot more good times and much to be grateful for. You have a good life, JoAnn.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy month! I hope everything slows down for you in October! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLoved the beautiful sunset and the list of things to do and done!
ReplyDeletemy Sunday Salon
This is all so lovely -- thanks for the celebration of the month.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of alphabetizing it! Happy october :)
ReplyDeleteI vote for London. :-D
ReplyDeleteI love this and just might have to borrow this. You're most welcome for the pasta fagioli recipe ... we had it last night (I had frozen some) and it was just as good. Glad you're enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteDelightful! Loved reading this post.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I vote for Paris.
This was a fun way to express your September. Hope October is great as well.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me that oven is fixed!!!! This was so clever. I don't think I could do it if I tried. It is easy to see what you have been focused on lately. I can't imagine it now, but I'm sure when the time comes I will be sad when my kids leave me.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Word verification: ovenesp
Your month in a nutshell...that was cute! Right now it's D for dinnertime and I'm H for hungry. See you!
ReplyDeleteStephanie - Have fun apple picking!
ReplyDeleteIris - I had fun with this.
Molly - Thanks, you too!
Care - Thank you... I may do this again.
Rachel - It certainly was a busy month! Our leaves start changing a few weeks before they will in NYC. Fall will be there, too, before you know it.
Laurel-Rain Snow - October is my favorite month, too! Glad you like the photos. I feel blessed every time I look out my window.
Gautami - Thank you!
Frances - Life is definitely good! Sometimes I just want time to stand still, but I know the future will be just as exciting. If we could only get past these little stresses...
Vasilly - Busy, but fun at the same time...except for the college anxieties. Have a great week.
Book Bird Dog - That was one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. The lake looked so pink!
ReplyDeleteLynne - Thank you so much... and thanks for the retweet, too!
Verity - Sometimes I'm organized almost to a fault!
Softdrink - We'll definitely start in London. Hubby wants to hit Paris, too.
Melissa - I gave my mom the recipe and she loved it, too.
Readerbuzz - My husband is pushing hard for Paris.
Diane - Thanks!
Sandy - Don't even get me started on the oven. TWO guys were here again Friday and it's STILL not working. Things are getting ugly now...
Darlene - LOL! What's for dinner??
That was a very cool way to wrap up September for sure!
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to knit a sweater for Zelda!
What a great format for a post! I see many college anxieties in there - what an exciting but stressful time! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteStaci - I may just need to dust off my knitting needles!
ReplyDeleteBooksnyc - College thoughts are definitely first and foremost now. If either of the girls wants to go early decision, the clock is ticking, lol!
Good thing your dog's name is Zelda...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to sum up September. I've spent much of September marvelling at the sunrises... (the only advantage of gettign up too early.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea and a perfect way to sum up a September!
ReplyDeleteVery clever, very creative. I also like the new header picture.
ReplyDeleteSince you asked...chicken pot pie! But I didn't make it...we went out:)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE this post, JoAnn!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Pasta Fagioli? I think my husband would loooove that.
and London or Paris in the spring? eeeee!!!
Thomas - LOL! Look for Zelda to make another appearance if I decide to do October ABC's.
ReplyDeleteJoan Hunter Dunn - Thanks again for the inspiration!
Amused - Thank you!
Darlene - Ha ha... chicken pot pie is one of R's favorites! I'll have to make it for him one of these days...
Margot - Thank you. Fall is definitely here!
Trish - Aww, thanks! I've made that pasta fagioli twice, and it's already been requested again. London will likely be the spring destination. Daughter #1 will be spending a semester there...it's all the excuse I need ;-)
Wow! You had a busy September! Since we just went to Paris this year I vote for that. We were happily surprised by how much we loved it.
ReplyDeleteStacybuckeye - My brother and SIL just got back from Paris yesterday. They just loved it and are trying to convince us to go, too.
ReplyDeleteLove this..and a nice September in your world!
ReplyDeleteI remember those days of college essays, SATs, admission booklets, OY! Good luck!
Have a great October, too!
