Using a combination of red and orange peppers, wild rice, and choosing cilantro over parsley when given the option, I followed the recipe exactly as written. The rice was prepared ahead to cut down on prep time.

I'm into my wild rice phase right now, so I'll certainly give this recipe a go (with chicken...). thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI'm not a stuffed pepper fan either, but I love roasted peppers, so there's got to be a problem with the recipes I try. Or maybe it's the liquid in the pan that steams the peppers instead of roasting them. Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteEverything (almost) is better with hot sauce! I love stuffed peppers but haven't made them in a while. I might give this one a try and up the spices.
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of stuffed peppers, I wish I was because they look delicious and I agree, so many things are tastier with hot sauce.
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious! I love stuffed peppers and experimenting with different recipes for them. Thanks for sharing!

Big stuffed pepper fans here, but my husband would trade me in if I used turkey vs. beef!
ReplyDeleteI love stuffed peppers. When we still ate meat we would use minced meat, now we mainly use rice and soy flakes which stands in for the minced meat.
ReplyDeleteHaven't had stuffed peppers with turkey before. Nice suggestion, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think the last time I had this type of dish, green peppers were used and the cooking made them bitter. I will have to try a grain version in the summer when the cost of the peppers is more reasonable.
ReplyDeleteI love peppers, but have never loved them stuffed for some reason. Perhaps time to try them again...
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great paired together with the spinach salad...I'd give it a try for sure!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is pretty with all the colors. Hot sauce should be agood addition.

My stuffed peppers are pretty bland, but they also seem like comfort food, so I still make them now and then. Had not thought of using turkey.
ReplyDeleteHuh. My husband usually does the cooking in my house but I offered to whip up dinner on Thursday and he suggested stuffed peppers. (Of course I do not want to make his suggestion! I want to surprise him with something exotic.) but you post this and now I suppose I will go ahead and attempt. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteCare - YOu might want to spice these up a little more... or at least keep the hot sauce handy!
DeleteWill do. :D
