    1. Audrey - Thank you. They say people have one 'heart' dog and Zelda was certainly mine. She recently developed both kindney failure and leukemia, but I was still surprised it progressed so quickly.

  9. I’m sorry this happened. My dog died from cancer a few weeks ago, and it was devastating. I loved seeing photos of Zelda on Instagram. I’ve always wanted a retired racer. *Hugs*

    1. Thank you, Judith. This happened just days after I left my condolences on your post about Sasha. It was not entirely unexpected, but we did not think things would progress so quickly. It's been a difficult couple of weeks, as you know all too well. I just started reading again a few days ago and may get a blog post up next week.

      Sorry it took so long to respond to your comment... just found it this morning. For some inexplicable reason, blogger has stopped sending me emails when someone comments on my blog. :(
