Just gorgeous. We don't get much of the colors down here. Well, our fall kind of comes overnight usually and this year, everything is already brown, brittle, and dry. Sigh.
JoAnn, thanks for sharing this beautiful image of fall! I've come to love and appreciate Fall as one of my favorite seasons. I recently posted Keats' beautiful ode To Autumn a couple of days ago as my homage to the season. Cheers! Chris
Gorgeous! Your colors are much more vibrant than ours. I'm really not ready for this weather (dipping down, possibly, to 25 tonight!), but I do love to see the leaves turn.
That looks so pretty. I noticed, here at least, that there isn't a lot of red this year. It seems to have gone from green straight to yellow which is sad. I really like the vibrancy of the red.
Les - The only down side to fall is the winter that will surely follow.
DS - Hopefully the past few days have seen the colors in your area intensify.
Rahpsodyinbooks - Not a day that goes by that I don't appreciate the natural beauty we enjoy!
Trish - Reds are always the best!
DogsBooksandCoffee - Mine, too!
Terri B. - Thanks! Hope you get to try the cake, too.
Darlene - Several people have commented that the reds haven't been as bright this year. ARound here, they may not be as plentiful, but the color is stunning.
Carolsnotebook - Aren't they? It's such a pretty time of year.
Lisa - Sorry to hear the colors have been as vibrant for you this year. We lost a lot of leaves this weekend... not sure I'm going to like what comes next!
Is that your lakeside? Very nice. I'm hoping to see some color this fall up in the Napa vineyards near where I live. They are a sight to see when they all go orange.
C.B. James - This photo was taken on the lot next to our house and the header was taken on our dock. A lot of the leaves are gone now, and there is snow in the forecast for Thursday - I sure hope they're wrong.
SO pretty JoAnn. I don't think the foliage has been as vibrant as in past years (at least here).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I haven't really started to notice colours here. Is it getting chilly with you yet?
ReplyDeleteWe don't get anything even close to that down here. I miss it!!

ReplyDeleteThose colors are gorgeous! I am loving your banner too :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love this time of year except for right now it's pouring and blowing and cold outside!
ReplyDeleteDiane - We've had especially brilliant reds this year.
ReplyDeleteVerity - There was snow in the forecast for tomorrow - thankfully it has been removed! We've had a hard frost, but none of the white stuff ...yet.
Sandy - You won't miss it when the snow flies;-)
Kay - I imagine it's hard to have much in the way of fall colors when it's so dry...
Kaye - Thanks!
Chris - Fall is my favorite time of year! Haven't done any blog reading yet this week... thanks for mentioning the poem. I'll stop by and read it.
Reviewsbylola - The wind blew all those red leaves away this afternoon. Glad you like the banner!
Staci - The wind is picking up as I type and the rain is headed our way...

ReplyDeleteStriking! We haven't had anything like that yet this year.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Your headers are always so amazing, no matter what the season. You sure are lucky to live surrounded by natural beauty like that!
ReplyDeleteI die.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Utah we saw some very vibrant yellows in Park City but not many reds. The reds are my favorite.
Sigh.
Simply beautiful... Fall is my favourite time of the year :)
ReplyDeleteSO lovely! Unfortunately, I don't live in a place with traditional seasons so I LOVE to see photos :)

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! We've had such a dull fall, color-wise.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that pumpkin latte coffee cake looks WONDERFUL! I've just bookmarked that recipe :)

ReplyDeleteNymeth - Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous! I adore fall and wish it lasted at least a month longer :)
