A Most Embarrassing Morning

The scene: Monday morning, sipping the all-important first cup of coffee, reading blogs, and catching up with goodreads

The idea: Isn't "Blogger X" already my friend on goodreads?

The action: I'll send a friend request

The reality: friend request mistakenly sent to every  twitter follower with a goodreads account

The effect: instant mortification

The benefit: lots of  new goodreads friends (though I thought I was already friends with most of you)

Note to twitter followers: My feelings won't be hurt if you ignore the request.

Note to self: Always  consume at least one cup of coffee before logging into any social media

  1. They make it soooo easy to do! I hadn't realized that goodreads was posting everything I did to my FB wall until I told it not to! I'm sure everyone enjoyed getting the invitation!

  7. JoAnn,
In my unbiased opinion, every reader would benefit from reading and knowing about your blog. I know how you feel, but personally I hope you pick up some sympatico readers and bloggers.

  14. Sounds like something I could do after 2 glasses of wine! ;) Could be worse. Sometimes the email "reply all" button is just a little too close to "reply." ;)

    1. Les - You know, this could have happened just as easily at the other end of the day (with a little wine), too! That 'reply all' button is dangerous, too ;-)

  19. I did this with LinkedIn one time. I think that's even worse because it's a professional network. I even had someone e-mail me a bit ago and ask how we knew each other. I said, "We don't. I accidentally added the universe to my contacts one day. Apologies!"

  20. That would probably happen to me as well! I don't think you need to feel mortified about that at all though :)
