Not So Wordless Wednesday (and a new header photo)

It's April 10 folks, and I'm still looking at a semi-frozen lake. This photo was taken yesterday afternoon and there is a little more open water today, but this is pretty late... even by Central New York standards.

On a brighter note, I'm pretty sure our last snowbank will be history before the end of the day!

  1. Yay on melting snow and ice. Soon, soon it will spring, right?

  2. California is just beautiful right now. More summer like than spring like. The patterns have certainly changed. It's still cold at night for us.

  3. Yay, spring is on the way. We've had such unseasonably warm weather all winter and early spring out here in California. I hope we don't get rain all summer! ;)

  4. We got those areas as well that we watch melt away and open up.

  6. Even though I love your new header I'm so dismayed by how cold and dreary it has been!!! I think we're going on almost three weeks with very little sun!!! UGH!!!

  8. Looks pretty chilly!

I hung blankets on the line yesterday, then had to bring them in to the dryer when the snow started piling up on them. That wasn't supposed to happen. :-(

  9. We had 80* here in western Pennsylvania the other day! Where's that happy spring weather? The pic is gorgeous!

  10. And it has been in the mid 80's here! Gah! I'm not ready for it yet. I'm sure you feel the same way about the snow!

  11. Good news. After yesterday's torrential rain, the ice went off the lake and the final snowbank meted, too! We're expecting a balmy 40 degrees today ;-)

Now my banner photo is outdated again...

  12. Mercy, spring's in no more of a rush to get to you than it is to get to us. So. Tired. Of. Winter.

  13. Wow, I can't believe it's that cold there still. We're thinking we'll have to turn our air conditioner on soon.
