  1. I am so jealous of you as you move into spring as we are coming into autumn here in Australia. Although I can't really complain at the moment - we have had several days in a row over 30 degrees C!

  3. Hope the deer knew to stay away!

All in all, I have to say that Winter wasn't too horrible this year. Not sad to see it go though!

  4. OH my --- that is like my last Friday in reverse!

We are slowly becoming more spring like here in the midwest: rainy and 50s through the weekend, but near 70 and sunny on Tuesday. I can hardly wait!

  5. You aren't kidding...what a gorgeous picture! Spring seems a little unpredictable. I took off the heavy blankets from the beds last week because it was so warm...this week we had to throw them back on:p

  7. Beautiful! I am ecstatic spring is here. Funny, though, as we got flurries the very first day of spring, but now all's well. Hope we don't get any more snow till next winter! Have a lovely season!

  8. the beautiful Spring sunshine has definitely lifted my spirits. But it's also made it difficult for me to focus on much of anything. All I want to do is walk around in the sunshine!

  10. Karen - I think autumn is the most beautiful time of year! Winter isn't that bad, but I'm always ready for spring!

Staci - April can be such a crazy month! I'll be crossing my fingers for good weather in the 'thumb'! One year we had a Mother's Day snowstorm... unbelievable!

Darlene - This certainly wasn't as bad as some winters, but spring is always welcome!

    Verity - thanks!

Molly - And we're getting cold again here... down to the teens the next couple of nights!

Book Psmith - You can never depend on spring weather around here. A few years ago we had 4 inches of snow on Mother's Day!

  11. Kaye - Thanks!

Diane - Yes, that's the view from my kitchen... and I'm so thankful for it every single day!

Thanks, Claire! I'm really hoping that's the end of the snow... but it seems like around here we can't be sure until May.

Jennifer - Oh, I understand that! Spring fever will hit hard in another couple of weeks...

Nymeth - Spring is definitely a welcome sight! We should start to see more green in another couple of weeks.

  13. I love your view and can't believe what a difference a day made for your lake.
Our winter was super, super, super mild thanks to el nino. Poor California recieved our normal stormy weather. We had record breaking temps yesterday-bright sun and 70 degrees--today? Rain and back down to the 50's! Spring! The most fickle season of the year. :)

  18. Darlene - You'd think that after so many years I would take this view for granted, but it's something I appreciate and am thankful for every single day.

Kim - Well that's spring for you! We're looking at record lows tonight.

    Jenny Girl - Thanks!

Gavin - I'm afraid it has already turned on us! We woke up the next day to a dusting of new snow and we're expecting record low temps (single digits!) tonight.

DS - We're all in mourning for the Orangemen today... really thought this was their year :-(

Marie - The weather turned on us again, too. Another dusting of snow and single digit temps tonight... eventually it will be spring.

  22. What a difference a day makes, indeed! Gorgeous picture of the lovely spring to come.

We had sunny temps in the 60s last week, snow on Saturday, cold (40s) and sunny today, and rain expected for the next two days. I love New England!

  23. Well, even on the bleak day it still reminds me of my vacation spot in Hawaii. I'm envious. I can sit out there and read all day! :)
