  5. I have read the original "Six Word Memoir" book, but not this one. It is amazing to me how six small words can be so insightful.

  6. I'm always flummoxed by the SWM idea. I think I came up with one once, but then forgot it, so it must not have been very accurate.

    That's a good teaser.

Here's mine on Rose City Reader.

  7. I like those! How fascinating...I think my six-word memoir would be:

"Now I am addicted to blogging."

I like the "wine and blogging" one, too.

    Here's my teaser:

  20. I heard a segment about this on NPR one day while I was in the car. I seem to remember that the one from Doogie Houser (sp?) who used to play a teen doctor on TV was especially funny. It's definitely an interesting concept.

  21. Everybookandcranny - This concept instantly appealed to me! I understand there are other books like this... will have to take a look.

  22. I came across this book a couple years ago and loved the Youtube video of it and the whole idea! Since then, at the end of each year, I have tried to describe the year in 6 words.
2009: "Grandchildren give us a second chance." and "Grinch? My heart grew three sizes."

  23. Kim - You pointed me toward this book - thanks! Summing up your life in 6 words is tough, but I love your idea of describing each year in 6 words.
