    Uhh, I think I am a little weirded out here. :) Never imagined Marvel and Jan Austen in the same conversation before. Like looking at this image though. Something re-imagined as I would never re-imagine it. Intriguing.

    Fabulous teaser, JoAnn! A visual one for a change is such a great idea.
    I am tempted to buy this for my boyfriend but I think he may prefer to re-watch the BBC adaptation with me instead!

    Jess - Jane Austen graphic - who would have thought!

    Stephanie - My book club meets Friday to discuss Nine Parts, so I'll post after that.

    Kaye - I definitely like the 'real' Jane better, but this was too good to pass up.

    Lisa - This would be perfect for a HS library!!

    Amy - It's interesting to see how Austen translates to the graphic form.

    Andrea - It's definitely worth a look.

    jlshall - It's not a replacement for Jane, but is an interesting take on the novel.

    Frances - That was my feeling, too. Jane Austen and Marvel in the same sentence seems incredible!! The images aren't as pleasing to my eye as the other few graphic novels I've read.

    Book Dilettante - If you like classics, this might be a good graphic novel to start with.

    Susan B. Evans - I was surprised to learn that there are many classics that have been made into graphic novels.

    Stacybuckeye - My 19 yr.old daughter was laughing out loud at this!

    Paperback Reader - I'm sure your boyfriend would prefer to watch the BBC movie with you, but the graphic novel might still be fun.

    Dar - It's fun, but not a replacement for the real thing!

    Pusserboots - P&P is my all-time favorite, so the graphic is definitely not better than the novel for me :-)

    Staci - You get the credit (blame?) for this purchase. I first saw these on your blog!

    Laurel-Rain Snow - Definitely a different take on an old favorite..

    Darlene - LOL! I'm afraid it's so... the graphic novel is one thing, but I draw the line at zombies.

    Nymeth - This is my first 'classic' as a graphic novel.

    Mrs. B. - The drawings are very modern... just look at those Bennet sisters - lol! This was interesting, but it'll never replace the real thing.

    Bookmagic - I've only read a few graphic novels and although P&P is my favorite book, this (surprisingly) is not my favorite graphic novel! That's still Ethel & Ernest by Raymond Briggs, author of the children's book The Snowman.
