This is a reread, but a perfect follow-up to Mrs. Dalloway. I'm even more appreciative of Cunningham's brilliance this time around.
Was this the basis for the movie The Hours with Nicole Kidman? I vaguely remember just seeing the beginning of the movie. Sounds interesting.

I'm generally good about seeing movies that are Oscar-nominated, but I didn't see this one. Not sure why. Woolf continues to be an unexplored world for me. First I have to conquer Graphic Novels, then maybe I will take this on as a project!

Lezlie - The Hours is a reread for me... just had to revisit it after reading Mrs.D! I also really liked his book A Home AT The End of the World when I read it (7 or 8 years ago?). It's good to hear from you :-)

Fleurfisher - Cunningham is a very talented writer.
I love this book. I was lucky enough to go to the UK premiere of the film. A great experience. Philip Glass's soundtrack to the film is so haunting and evocative.

I re-read this book last year as well, preparing myself for Mrs. Dalloway. The movie was just as great. Would it be a surprise if I say I like The Hours more than Mrs. Dalloway?
