First, a quick recap of the week...
Open houses two evenings at both girls schools, plus another dinner meeting left very little time for blogging or reading this week. Highlights include a review of the audio version of Little Bee by Chris Cleave, and my Ten Book 'bucket list'. Hopefully the coming week will be a little more productive!
This Sunday Salon post will be abbreviated so I can spend the morning reading. The Woman in White is wonderful, but it's been sadly neglected this week, and I really must finish! There's also short story post from The Virago Book of Ghost Stories that needs to be written.
I'll be back at the computer later this evening to catch up with posts. In the meantime, enjoy your Sunday....and let me know what you've been reading.
WOW...yet another blogger read: The Woman in White. It seems to be the book everyone is blogging about. I went out and bought it too. Glad you are really in to it!
ReplyDeleteI have uploaded The Woman in White on my Kindle, and am planning on reading with Simon @ Savidge Reads later this year as a read-along. I can't wait...I love The Moonstone. I can't say that I've been all that productive this week, at least with hard books.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with The Woman in White! It's the perfect day to relax with a book. I'm on my way to doing the same right now.
ReplyDeleteI picked up The Woman In White from the library on Friday and want to read it for R.I.P. IV.
ReplyDeleteI love your bucket list, this could turn into a great meme. Have a great week.
Hope you are having a lovely Sunday and are getting some reading done. B&N had the Virago collection but sadly I set it aside...I walked in with a budget and met it pretty quickly with the other books on my list. I did check out the table of contents, so I look forward to seeing which story you read for SSM.
ReplyDeletethe Woman in White is huge...maybe one of these days I may try to read it. First I need to finish all of Austen's books. I finished The Last Dickens earlier today and now I'm reading The Magician's Elephant.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week :)
Diane - The Woman in White does seem to be a big blogger read right now. 'Tis the season, I guess...
ReplyDeleteSandy - I loved The Moonstone, too. Can't say yet which I like better though.
Reviewsbylola - Hope you had a good day with your book, too!
Gavin - I'm reading The Woman in White for RIP challenge, too. The bucket list was a lot of fun to put together. Have a great week!
Book Psmith - I did enjoy my coffee and reading this morning before all of the other activities got started. Still not finished with WIW, but I've got a great ghost story this week!
Staci - Glad you got time to finish The Last Dickens today. After reading this morning, I drove kids around this afternoon, did laundry, and made apple crisp!
I ran out of week with my reading and failed at my RIP IV challenge! Her Fearful Symmetry was my book of choice whenever I had time.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your review of The Woman in White!
I just clicked on your link from Diane's "Bibliophile" blog and just now read your Sunday Salon.
ReplyDeleteLove your lakeside blog header! Wow!
"The Woman in White" seems to be the word-of-mouth book for now!
I posted a Mailbox Monday at my Creations blog:

Darlene - Can't wait to hear what you think of Her Fearful Symmetry. There wasn't enough reading time last week for me, either!
ReplyDeleteLaurel-Rain Snow - The Woman in White does seem to be the hot blogger book right now. We'll probably all be sick of it by the time the reviews are posted - lol! I hope to take a new picture for a fall header this week (if the sun would just come out). Thanks for becoming a follower!
