Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?

writing in books horrify you?

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?
It depends on how tired I am.
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?

It depends on who I'm recommending to.

ReplyDeleteI too can multi task!
ReplyDeleteBBAW: Reading meme
Don't you find yourself wishing for a second wind when you are too tired to read another word? Can't wait to see what you think of The Woman in White. I was thinking about it reading it in October but Savidge Reads has me considering The Haunted Hotel. I enjoyed reading your answers.
ReplyDeleteBook Psmith: Ooh! "The Haunted Hotel" sounds interesting... I need to look that up...
ReplyDeleteOkay, back to JoAnn! I love these Reading Meme things! I'm devouring them this morning before school! It's really fun to compare other people's reading habits to your own!
I love to read about other people's reading habits. Sometimes what I think are oddities in me are quirks shared by a lot of people. Gives me hope that I'm not as nuts as people say I am ;)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I try to remember words to look up later, but then end up forgetting them! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI'll be reading The WOman in White very soon too!! :)
The Woman in White has been on my wish list for awhile so I look forward to seeing what you think.
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE is reading or has read Woman in White (except me)...What is wrong with me???
ReplyDeleteNise' - I have trouble multi-tasking when reading is one of the tasks. I get so absorbed in my book that I forget about whatever else I'm supposed to be doing!
ReplyDeleteGautami - That must be why you can visit and comment on so many blogs ;-)
Book Psmith - I often wish for a second wind. It seems like I get tired pretty quickly, or else it's just too late when I finally settle down to read. BTW, I got a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks today...yum!!
Madeleine - I've had fun visiting blogs featuring this meme today!
Hazra - It has been fun learning about other reader's habits. Many of us have the same ones!
Claire - I use sticky notes to remember words I need to look up (and sometimes even remember to follow through). Hope we can compare notes on WIW.
Stacybuckeye - I've been wanting to read WIW ever since I read The Moonstone a few years ago. I just loved that one!
Diane - It does seem like a lot of us are reading WIW right now. Maybe it's the RIP challenge, or just the season? You'll be sick of it by the time all the reviews start appearing at the same time!
ReplyDeleteKim - Aww, thanks! I'm on my way over now...
I love that your bookmarks are related in some way to the book!
