I saw this at Book Psmith and BooksPlease this morning. It looks like fun, so I though I'd play along.
Using only books you have read this year (2009), answer these questions. Try not to repeat a book title. It’s a lot harder than you think!
Describe yourself: The Uncommon Reader (Alan Bennett)
How do you feel: like That Old Cape Magic (Richard Russo)
Describe where you currently live: The Big House (George Howe Colt)
If you could go anywhere, where would you go: Austenland (Shannon Hale)
Your favorite form of transportation: The Red Convertible (Louise Erdrich)
Your best friend is: Olive Kitteridge (Elizabeth Strout)
You and your friends are: Interpreter of Maladies (Jhumpa Lahiri)
What’s the weather like: The Enchanted April (Elizabeth Von Arnim)
You fear: The Help (Kathryn Stockett)
What is the best advice you have to give: Speak (Laurie Halse Anderson)
Thought for the day: The Hour I First Believed (Wally Lamb) ...the best I could come up with
How I would like to die: Fire in the Blood (Irene Nemirovsky)
My soul’s present condition: Change of Heart (Jodi Picoult)
Fun game. You came up with some good titles.
ReplyDeleteThis is cool! Sadly I still haven't read that much books to be able to answer all these questions with a title. Really fun game though :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read enough books this year to qualify! But they look like great titles!
ReplyDeletePretty cute!
ReplyDeleteYour answers worked really well. I especially liked the title you chose for best advice!
ReplyDeleteGreat answers. Fire in the Blood, hmm? I love your best advice answer.
ReplyDeleteI thought about choosing Olive K for my best friend too...they both can be very saucy:) It has been fun reading everybody's answers. I wonder where this originated...
ReplyDeleteThis seems like fun! Nice answers! :)
ReplyDeleteC.B. James - This was fun. I especially liked The Red Convertible as favorite form of transportation!
ReplyDeleteMark David - You could always modify the rules and do this with any books you've read. It was fun to come up with titles to answer the questions!
Hmsgofita - Maybe you could bend the rules a bit - lol! This was a fun diversion.
Laura's Reviews - Thanks!
Staci - Especially after just finishing the book, Speak is excellent advice. Didn't have to think at all to come up with that answer!
ReplyDeleteCharley - Fire in the Blood sounds painful, but was the best I could come up with for a way to die - lol!
BookPSmith - My choice came down to Olive Kitteridge and Therese Raquin. Not sure I'd want Therese for a friend - lol!
Kals - Thanks. It was fun coming up with the answers.
I just did this last night (to be posted this weekend) and it was so much fun. I do believe that your answers are far better than mine :)
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! As much fun to read as it clearly was to do. Thanks!
ReplyDeletestacybuckeye - I'll be sure to look for your answers this weekend!
ReplyDeleteds - It was fun...go ahead and give it a try!
Good titles. I liked the first one very much!
ReplyDeletethis is such a fun meme! Were there other questions, that you didn't answer, or did you have books to fit all the questions?
ReplyDeleteDawn - These were all the questions. The only one I couldn't come up with an answer that made sense was 'thought for the day'. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be!
