JoAnn, I wasn't feeling so hot yesterday, reading wasn't even on the cards since I was dizzy. It felt like H1N1 Lite! I set out to find a picture of roses over a doorway and that's the one that I liked the most.
This reminds me of the scene from Mama Mia when Sophie came to the yacht to make sure her three "dads" are coming to her wedding. Then Colin Firth started singing "Our Last Summer"...
Simply lovely. I am assuming you live on that lake? I am jealous. A whole lot jealous! I have been meaning to say how much I enjoy all your blog header pictures also. *Smiles* Kim
Kim - Thank you. The lake changes so much with the seasons, and even the weather. I'm not much of a photographer, but I like to try and capture some of it. We're very happy to be able to live here.
I'm crazy about all your lake pictures (and the header changes). I missed my opportunity to go this year, to the cabin I love to frequent in the Northwoods, and your photos give me some vicarious pleasure.
Bellezza - Sorry to hear you missed your time time at the lake this year :-( Glad you're enjoying the pictures though. I'll probably post another for Wordless Wednesday this week.
Beautiful - very envious as it is raining rather a lot here.
ReplyDeleteVerity - We've had a very wet (and cool) summer so far, but this was taken on one of the few recent sunny evenings.
ReplyDeleteBoth this photo and your blog header are beautiful! They give such a good impression of what it is like to live where you do! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI feel relaxed just looking at this picture and your new header picture is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh that is a stunning view on both your header and post!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteNan - Thanks! I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather live (at least this time of year).
ReplyDeleteBookPsmith - There is nothing that is more relaxing for me than to be by the water...it's my sanity preserver!
Darlene - Thank you...and I like the new picture that comes up with your comments!
Nymeth - Thank you!
That is just beautiful. Looks so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteDar - Thanks, that is the most calming spot I know.
ReplyDeleteLovely -- what a way to spend a day.
