We share about 90% of our answers! I find it difficult to capture my reading behavior in multiple choices!
ReplyDeleteI prefer a plot-driven novel that slowly unfolds in fruity and lush prose, with multiple layers and allusion that indulge my mind long after I turn the last page like the lingering aftertaste of a good glass of wine.
I like frivolious especially after a serious novel.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the owning your own books and liking new. After so many years of handling well-worn books (and smokey ones too, blech) at the library, I want my own pristine copies.

Gautami - I really prefer to own books, but I have been using the library more than usual this year, too.
Matt - As they say, great minds think alike ;-)
Nise' - After a really heavy novel, a little frivolity can be a relief.
Ted - This was actually a difficult BTT...I kept want to add a 'but' or 'and'!
Bokunosekai - I think of frivolous as a 'beach read'...fun every now and then.
Darlene - I'm very fussy about the used books I buy, and have been know to return library books unread if they smell bad! That said though, I've been using my library a lot more this year.
