I had a really hard time writing about short stories when I first started (sometimes still do), but you do sort of fall into a pattern after a while. I'm glad you're playing along on Mondays!JoAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13691864361197071517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7080965436653289398.post-34234371913052610172010-02-27T11:19:26.158-05:002010-02-27T11:19:26.158-05:00It's Saturday and I'm just now reading you...It's Saturday and I'm just now reading your Monday post. It's been that kind of week. This was a good tribute to Black History Month.

I like the way you told the story. I'm new at short stories and I've noticed that it's quite different than writing a review of a novel. I will keep working at it.Margothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07422981969760935118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7080965436653289398.post-27788132411842088222010-02-23T18:39:44.960-05:002010-02-23T18:39:44.960-05:00John Mutford - Well that would certainly change th...John Mutford - Well that would certainly change things!

Kals - Thanks. I'll be right over.

Nymeth - This was pretty different from a 'normal' short story, but still enjoyable. I listened to Their Eyes Were Watching God a couple years ago, and loved it.

Paperback Reader - It sounds like the festival is a pretty big deal... too bad the area isn't great. They celebrate "Zora days" every year, and it is a big deal. Unfortunately, Eatonville is not a very safe or wholesome community. It has kinda gone to the slums, which is too bad. I did not know it was the first incorporated African-American community though. It has fallen into shambles but at its height it was pretty awesome looking from the pictures. I liked the background behind the stories. I hope Daisy has better luck in her new place!Stacihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07600979915661464945noreply@blogger.com
