The Shell Seekers was the perfect comfort (re)read for a pandemic year. I didn't want it to end. The Most Fun We Ever Had is astonishing for a debut novel - great writing, plot, and characters. March - May I was pretty distracted and then I found pleasure in reading again. But then the dang election caused me to fall off the rail again. I finished with 54, 55 if I count the book I forgot to review. My goal for 2021 is 60. Why kill myself. I want to enjoy what I read and don't want to be driven by a goal. I am not much of a goal maker or keeper. I always love it when I see a new post by you. :)

I didn't read that much more than you (55), but I blame it on the pandemic, the election and my two "roommates" who both wound up in the hospital this fall. Maybe 2021 will be better??

I haven't run my stats yet, but I'm pretty sure I read more by female authors and more fiction than anything else. I'm adding The Most Fun We Ever Had, The Vanishing Half, The Shell Seekers (re-read), and House Lessons (I love Erica Bauermeister's books) to my 2021 TBR list. I loved Nothing To See Here (probably my #1 pick for audiobooks this year), thanks to your recommendation.

Looking forward to more book recs from you, as well as new recipes. You always find the winners!

Happy New Year!Les in Oregonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15053880852764886416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7080965436653289398.post-85727487319843380312021-01-02T21:05:31.936-05:002021-01-02T21:05:31.936-05:00This year has definitely been crazy.
